CEO & President

George B. Fussell is the founder and CEO of SAFCO.  He has dedicated his 40-year career to automotive sales and finance, having owned and operated multiple enterprises and having served as an executive for some of the nation’s largest and most successful dealership operations, including AutoNation and Mazda. In 1973, he became the youngest person in Florida to hold a Retail Dealer’s License, and in 1990, he founded SAFCO to provide effective financing in support of the increasing prices of used vehicles. In 2004, SAFCO began offering indirect financing for dealers throughout Florida, Texas and Georgia; today the company serves 25 markets in 17 states.

Mr. Fussell is also a recognized leader in the dispensation of distressed portfolios through SAFCO’s Portfolio Services Division. He has worked with a number of major national and international financial institutions and private equity companies on foreclosure consulting, whole loan purchasing, workouts and more. Under his leadership SAFCO has purchased and serviced portfolios in excess of a half billion dollars since 2002.

Gary A. Stein

Chief Financial Officer

Gary A. Stein is the Chief Financial Officer for SAFCO.  He has held this position since joining the company in 2001.  In addition, he serves as the Senior Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining SAFCO, Mr. Stein owned and operated a car rental franchise in South Florida from 1997 – 2000.  Previously, he was employed by Alamo Rent-A-Car for 18 years, where he held a number of finance positions which lead to serving as the Controller and Vice President of Finance.  Mr. Stein holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts; and, a Masters of Business Administration from Nova-Southeastern University.  Mr. Stein is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.

Maggie Orozco

Vice President of Loss Mitigation

Maggie Orozco is the Vice President of Loss Mitigation at SAFCO. Maggie started with SAFCO in 1998 as a funder, with responsibility for building the customer service we pride ourselves on today. She was subsequently promoted to concentrate on insurance-related affairs, and after receiving her licensure, Maggie was named SAFCO’s Vice President of Insurance. In her current role, she manages customer bankruptcy, insurance, deficiency collections and legal issues.

Bridgette Dosdourian

Vice President of Risk and Data Analytics

Bridgette Dosdourian is the Vice President of Risk and Data Analytics at SAFCO.  Bridgette has served in a number of roles at SAFCO, starting her career in Information Technology before moving on to Corporate Training and Communications.  She was next promoted to a managerial role in operations, which was followed by her appointment to her current position.  In this role, she is responsible for process improvements, technology and specialty projects, with an emphasis on policies and practices that ensure efficient and effective operations.  Bridgette received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her MBA from the University of Florida.

Vice President of Human Resources

Andrew Pickens is the Vice President of Human Resources at SAFCO. He brings SAFCO more than 20 years of personnel and management experience earned at a number of firms, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.  He started his career in the automotive industry at AutoNation, the country’s largest automotive retailer, before taking his role managing SAFCO’s personnel affairs nearly 10 years ago. Andrew graduated from the University of Florida.

Vice President of Credit

Andrew Fussell is the Vice President of Credit at SAFCO. He has served in a number of capacities with the company, including roles in operations, sales, marketing, collections and more.  In his most recent position, he is responsible for overseeing the Originations Team, including its team of over 15 members. He is focused on driving the growth of the company by introducing SAFCO’s unique program to new dealer partners as well as familiarizing existing SAFCO dealerships with the broader range of innovative products and services the company makes available. He received a dual bachelor’s degree in finance and management from Florida State University.

Nikki Magner
Nikki Magner
Vice President of Loan Servicing

Nikki Magner is the Vice President of Loan Servicing at SAFCO. Nikki joined our organization in May 2005 at the Anything on Wheels dealership as a Finance Assistant, eventually working her way up to Branch Manager at VAFCo. From there, she transferred to SAFCO to become a Credit Buyer. Over her 11 years at SAFCO, she has been promoted to positions of increasing authority as she gained expertise with multiple aspects of the subprime auto finance business. Nikki has established a reputation for impeccable quality and high performance.

Jose A. Kudja

Director of Information Technology

Jose A. Kudja has been SAFCO’s Director of Information Technology since 2014.  He has been responsible for developing the company’s data and information infrastructure, including its telecommunications systems, network operations, applications environment, help desk and more. Before joining our organization, he served as Director of Information Technology for Great HealthWorks, a direct-to-consumer health and wellness products provider, Managing Partner at RMK Consulting Group, a business strategies enterprise, and President/CEO of ProLogic Systems, a data infrastructure solutions provider. He holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Florida International University, an associate of science degree in business data processing and computer programming from Miami-Dade Community College and an associate of arts degree from Miami-Dade Community College.

Daniel Baggett

Director of Operations and Compliance

Dan Baggett serves as the Director of Operations and Compliance for SAFCO. In this role, he is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the organization, identifying and implementing best practices, maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with all appropriate requirements, regulations and guidelines. Dan is a certified compliance professional through the NAF Association. Previously, he served as the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. In this role, he was responsible for creating an internal quality assurance and audit program for various departments within SAFCO. Dan began his career with SAFCO in the buying department as a Credit Analyst and then a Credit Supervisor. Prior to joining SAFCO, he served as a Personal Banker with Wells Fargo and a Senior Account Representative with HSBC Consumer Lending. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and International Business from Iowa State University.

John Pinero
John Pinero
Director of Loan Servicing

John Pinero first joined SAFCO’s Loan Servicing Center as Portfolio Services Manager in July 2009 from Wells Fargo, where he had served as a Collections Supervisor. In August 2012, John transferred to SAFCO’s National Buying Center as Senior Funding Manager, where he led the effort to streamline and improve the department’s processes. During this time, the department acquired new metrics reporting and developed consistent, effective processes for its operations. Now in his role of Director of Loan Servicing, he is responsible for maintaining and developing a high performance collections team to execute the Company’s loan servicing strategy.
